Date: 2008-10-08 06:58 pm (UTC)WAY back in the PW IX - PW XIV days, the Coopers would invite folks from the two nearest baronies (Debatable Lands in the East and Cleftlands in the Mid) to come out in June for a "Cooper's Lake Demo" and invite in the curious public from the surrounding area to show off to them what the SCA was all about. While Pennsic week was happening, they had their hands full with the 3,000 or so people there; but things were much more casual at these demos. I had an opportunity to get to know them a bit during those times and find that I couldn't agree with you more.
