Another wasted night

Spent too much money on yarn yesterday, but I may have what I need to make more prezzies. Some are little and take only two nights, which rocks.

Am trying the next stage to sockiness, so I bought some sportweight yarn I can wear and decided to use myself as a guinea pig. So far so good, but, of course, I haven't gotten to the tricky bits yet. However, the cabled top looks okay (and how can anything look bad in bright peacock?). Probably I won't get to anything else until Friday night since I have Eastern Star both tonight and tomorrow night. Sigh.

I wish I could embroider as fast as I knit. Snarl.

Oddly enough, wearing blacks, browns and greys exclusively this week is helping me deal. There is something to these mourning rituals after all.

I did not know you were a yarn fanatic too... Some day we should gather all the yarn people together and see each other's stashes!

I crochet, can't knit, but am wanting to learn. I've tried from websites and books, but I'm better learning from a person.

Ooooooooo, that could be dangerous ;-). Rowan is the crochet person in the house, and Ekat if VERY good with a hook. I just make a tangled mess--but give me needles and then some very useful stuff can result.

Since neither of us ever has anything to do at Pennsic, maybe we can kill some of that excessive free time playing with yarn.

I now knit and crochet. Fear me. Mind you, I still need to brush up on crochet to my early 80's level, but I have more patience and nifty keeno yarn to play with, so things are looking up.

Need to learn afghan stitch and then I'll be deadly. :)

The thought of basking in the yarn stashes of others intrigues me.
