Because I am a slacker, I decided that the closing of every single school district between me and the college was a message from on high to cancel my class and reschedule my little visit with the Dr. this A.M.

Because I am a slacker, instead of being productive and doing MV work all day at home, or doing housework, or laundry, or something else work-like, I:

Watched two episodes of The West Wing to start my day,
Watched far too many episodes of CSI: NY,
Made myself a lovely breakfast of healthy goodness and an indulgent 1 oz. of real cheddar,
and instead of a birthday cake made myself cream scones with strawberries. So what if it's one day early?

I am a slacker.

I have two batches of sausage in the smoker(Pork-Apple-Sage and Chicken-Apple-Sage), have three batches marinating in advance of stuffing, have stripped the drawer fronts on the secretary desk The Cadette got me for Yule, and worked on the top of The First Sock(tm).

Hey! Happy Birthday one day early! Slackering is an art that must be practiced assiduously if you want to achieve the perfect slacker day. Sounds like you're almost there (but I agree that you must take a nap to achieve true slackerdom). Hope you get to practice again soon!
