Home again, home again.
Dec. 1st, 2008 11:47 amWell, we made it home. The Garmin estimated 4.25 hours of travel time. Traffic added 45 min. Weather added another 2 hours. Because of the precipitation Duchezz chose to do all the driving. I had actually expected to do half, but not in her game plan, so I sat and knitted and played Lord of the Rings on my GBA.
Holiday weekend was...the holiday weekend. Puppies were good. Shopping was productive. We've pretty much decided on what we're doing for the holidays. She got new body armor (The Boy and Air Force squire had it planned out, and The Boy had cut it out, before It Happened, so this was just finishing a plan). Now it's finish the semester, get through the holidays, and do everything in our power to make sure the 2009 is better than 2008.
For the record, for my friends, for my family, for Duchezz, for me...2008 will go down, to quote Her Majesty Elizabeth II, as an annus horribilis. I'll be glad to see the back of it.
