The weekend so far

We went to said Brazilian meat fest.* Yeah, whatever. It wasn't for me, it was for him, and he enjoyed it. I must say, however, that the little Portuguese sausages were incredibly yummy!
Then we went to Opal's and picked out desserts for later and breakfast treats. This was a good thing. Home. Watched Pan's Labyrinth and ate our desserts, then early to bed. Boy likes his new porch chair, Duchezz likes her goodies, I got clothes and an ice cream machine (YAYYYYYY!!!!).
This morning was said decadent breakfast. No champagne or strawberries delivered by the smiling Kelda as was the case 18 years ago, but good nonetheless. Then The Boy left for NYC and Grand Lodge. He comes home Tuesday.
Last full week of classes starts Monday, so I'll be up to my neck and beyond in work, especially since we're going to Will's. But worth it.
Well, guess I'll watch the clones murder Jedi, then do some work. I miss The Boy.
9:24 PM update from The Boy in NYC: He just called from the intermission here http://www.nymasons.org/cms/divas_with_heart_Ticket (it's been sold out for awhile--don't be confused by the matinee line--that's for the added show). On their way down one of the mucky mucks called him on his cell and said he had some extra tickets, so himself is hanging out with the charitable crowd, watching Chaka, and Patti, and waiting for Diva Diana. I'm glad for him. He's all excited. He's so cute.
*Morguhn and Rowan urged me to have us change the dinner reservation time so we could find somewhere to sit and watch the Derby before dinner. I decided no, too much trouble.
I'm glad I didn't, given what happened to Eight Belles. I think it would have made it hard for me to enjoy the meal. I guess there's something to genetic memory?
