Oh, I know. And after camping for most of the years since I was 7 (why, yes, that is several decades ago), I have a fair amount under my belt, as well (though, to be honest, this putting up structures with wooden poles and canvas walls that require two or more people is still something I have some trouble describing as "camping").

What I guess I need to say here (is everyone frigging listening) is that the goal is a "get to camp and find no one is there and yet can still get everything up, done, and settled by myself in less than an hour. Should it be convenient for others to assist, yay! But whatever I bring I need to be able to put up and take down ON MY OWN. I am tired of the "takes four men and a boy" style of camping that is most people's Pennsic setups. After the year Morguhn was at Pennsic, on crutches after foot surgery, up to his ankles in mud, trying to take down the pavillion (yes, we had massive amounts of help, but still) I decided that if I was going to show up at Pennsic alone, I had damn well better be able to do everything on my own, or not go.

As I said, if help is handy I will cheerfully and gratefully accept it--but it needs to be not necessary.
