The Things You See

meirwen_1988So, we're driving through Manhattan, headed toward the Battery Tunnel. I was sitting on the drivers side of the van, so instead of paying attention to all the cool people and dogs and bikes, I'm looking at buildings, which is what's on my side.
Okay, NYers--do you have any clue about this? Near Canal Street, about 5 blocks before Ground Zero, was a building with this sign: "repent...and rent." Very...weird.
At some point I may write about the strangeness of the lack of ceremony attached to going past where the Towers once stood (yes, I did see them once--from inside,even), and my first sight of Lady Liberty (despite having been here before), but that is for another day. For now it is to bed, after the surreal experience of watching CSI: NY from one of the Five Boroughs.
