The better part of valor?

So I wimped out today. I had big plans. BIG plans, I say!

I was going to get up early and go to the Farmer's Market in Hamilton (only the one in Clinton is in its league). Then I was going to go to the movies and see either Cowboys and Aliens or Conan. And run some errands. Come home and make dinner, and then do some school stuff.

Well, I managed to make my way to the market within half an hour of when I'd planned. Spent more than I'd budgeted--but got some great veg and fruit and some really good local, free-range cottage bacon and andouille sausage. The dog biscuit people were not there, though. Guess it's just more incentive to bake my own.

Then, after swinging by the house and putting purchases away, I headed off to movie. But, well...didn't happen. It was such a beautiful sunny day I couldn't bring myself to lock myself in a theatre. So I did errands (all in lovely air-conditioned environments, for which my lungs were grateful), and then came home.

Made myself a yummy tomato sandwich (thank you nice Amish girl) on good bread, then for dinner made greens with sausage and potatoes. Oh, and wine.

Which of course is why nothing for school got done. Mmmmmm. Wine.
