In responding to the fair J I found myself tripping down memory lane. Perhaps a longing for gentler, simpler days. Perhaps that summer was when I would re-read and re-read (not a typo) beloved volumes since the school library was no longer at my finger tips.
This is the first book I ever read so much, and so often that the cover came off and had to be lovingly, carefully taped back in place. In looking for an electronic version (Miss Alcott's copywrite having long expired), I found this on Amazon. The very edition--a picture I know so well that I can feel myself 8 or 9 years old, hiding in the yard under the weeping willow, lost with aunts and cousins and plaid.
I give you:
Eight Cousins
