When you think something is too good to be true...

...it usually is.

A while back I was all excited about this con that was going to be held in Boston. But, I didn't have the money, so I didn't buy tickets.

So glad. So glad. So glad.

Bad management, angry celebs, all gone horribly, horribly, wrong.

Oh well. It was a lovely dream.

On a happier note, I think I forgot to mention that they found most of the missing footage (been missing for more than 50 years) of Fritz Lang's Metropolis. I can't wait to see the whole thing! Cinematic German Expressionism meets Sci-Fi!

Just cancelled our NFL Sunday Ticket.

Oil bill going up $250 per month (with the increase the monthly bill is nearly double last year's, and that's with calling around and changing provider to get a better price--I don't think the extra $1000 in my total salary, before taxes, that came with my promotion, is gonna cover that). [Yeah, it's only a total of $160 savings by canceling, but every little bit helps.]
