Twas the day before Christmas...
Dec. 24th, 2007 03:06 pmThe Boy and I went to get last minute food for the snack plate and low-fat egg nog. He informed me we had some other errands. We went to the mall. Wonder of wonders, it was not horrible. He was successful. On top of which we found him a new winter jacket (needed) for 50% off, and we got the Cuisinart waffle maker we've (Duchezz and I) been dithering about. The deciding vocalization was "I would love it." So, not a prezzie, except sort of to all of us (and affordable because of huge markdown). It makes 6 3x4 waffles at the same time, so we can make waffles for us, and be able to eat all at the same time, or make massive amounts for when The Family comes and stays. It's all good.
Duchezz leaves for the Golden Arch Prison soon--they're actually closing for 24 hours, so they wanted adults for this closing crew. She's supposed to be done at 8, but she suspects earlier. Then when she gets home it's snack plate and Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol. I believe that Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come was the artistic director of the LotR movies's real inspiration for the Ring Wraiths. The scariest image of my childhood, I swear.
Smells like The Boy is frying his hamburger for lunch. Okay. Hungry now. Soup time for me.
Happy Christmas, everyone. May your entire season be full of love and merriment.
