No wonder riots happen in the summer

Yesterday, three incredibly stupid events, involving multiple people, errupted, and that's just around here.
Placement test sign up: 175. Placement test takers: 133. Helloooooo--you can't register without the test, it was 94 degrees at 6 PM, and the test facility is air conditioned. Dumb.
OES: Chapter decides to do Strawberry social. We agree to make the biscuits. Wednesday, June 29. Someone made up the flyers and put the date for the social on them. Flyers get put up all over town. No one proofread them. Date says June 28, no day of week listed. Matron finds out on the 27th. Calls me at 4:05 on the 28th. What the @#$&%^^&(%^*!!!! Now, with no time, I have to get the biscuits (40 minute drive) to the site, and get to the test (35 min from site) before the test starts at 6 (I try to be there by 5:30 with this many). And I'm in scuzzy clothes, haven't fed or walked the dogs, and haven't eaten yet (I was going to leave the house at 5). Arrgggghhhhh.
Shire: We're going to have a newsletter again--it took 2 weeks just to get the new kids to understand that $15 dollar subscriptions, per quarter, was a bit over the top. [They're down to 75ยข an issue now, no subscriptions]. Now, though, because we talked about putting a link for the newsletter on the shire site, the webminister is quitting in a huff because "no one needs" him if the newsletter is going to be on the site. Geez Louise!
I wish the temperature would drop so people would get their brains reconnected.
