I have friends full of awesome

They came.
They talked and laughed and wrangled.
They ate with me and worked with Duchezz; they played with pugs and kitties.

We can put screens in windows; I have a functioning air conditioner, and hose, and grill. We have a summer suitable home!!

Our family is full of awesome. And they did this while coping with car dramah, or a 7.5 hour drive, or exhausted partners, or excruciating pain, or bruises with names, or very first hard liquor hangover, or bitchy duckess.

Yup.

Full of awesome.

I was thinking earlier today that for a weekend in which so much went "bad" (let "bad" = not as planned, more expensive than expected, potentially dangerous, allergy-inducing, scary, or inconvenient), it was a totally wickedly awesome weekend.

I'm really very proud of us all.

Did we actually name any of my bruises? We must do this again sometime, or possibly just the hanging out and being sociable part and less on the car/health dramah.

Indeed every one was awesome

there were bitchy duckies?

how did I miss that? I would have taken pictures!

and don't forget- you have at least two pre-paid visits "handy girl" or "grunt labor" or whatever else you might need that I can provide! please use them or I may be forced to just show up with scraper and paintbrush in hand to slap some primer on the bare wood...

you know, I painted my parents' house one summer... what I'd really like is some SCAFFOLDING... we borrowed some from a contractor friend who wasn't using his at the time. know anyone like that?
