Eco Comfort level follow up

Anyone who shares my concerns about the ecologically (un)friendly nature of K-cups should go back and read the comments on the original post--Green Mountain coffee apparently reads my LJ. Who knew.

(A very nice post--really, go read it.)

I imagine that they have someone who's job is it to Google their name and various product names daily and deal appropriately with the results.

It is HIGHLY COOL that they did respond and yay you for bringing it to their attention yet again that they need to find a way to make their cups recyclable. I admit that I was very unimpressed when those machines came out. Reusable or recyclable cups would be awesome. I liek the idea of the machines and the individual servings, but the cups were a huge barrier for me. Yay!

Oh, I know: no company in its right mind wouldn't--still, spiffy.

They do have the k-cup filter (which also allows you to use the coffee of your choice, not just "best sellers"), which is very reasonably priced. For home use I think they are a wonderful idea.
