Congruence of interests

SCAToday posted a note about an upcoming showing of the Food Network show Dinner Impossible http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/show_ie/episode/0,3151,FOOD_28496_55177,00.html where Robert has to cook at a Ren Fair. We saw the episode already, and it was great fun. Robert Irvine is great to watch anyway, and this episode was just too much fun for us given what we know about cooking in general, medieval cookery, and Ren Faires.

Worth a look, and only 1/2 hour long.

I comment not on the timeliness of the posting from our SCAToday friends.

Aren't they investigating him for fraud? I think he said he was a Knight and all other sorts of crap and they found out it isn't true.

That, of course, doesn't take away from the entertainment value of the show. It's just unfortunate that he didn't feel his talent was enough.

Have a great day!

Yeah, but I don't much care. He's worked the places he said he worked, and by the pickiest definitions, did what he said, just not what he implied. Yeah, he lied/embellished/was drunk and trying to impress and now it's caught up with him, but, well, with a couple of exceptions I think the FN celebs are more entertainers than chefs, so I'm willing to cut him some slack as long as he continues to entertain.

So, just how much doooo you hate that science class???

I agree with the not caring about the chef. I am just sorry that it happened as typical in media that is now the focus as opposed to his natural talents and abilities :)

Oh the Science class is history. lol Not required for my certificate and it sounded interesting but a course called Science Literacy is not what it seems. I thought it would be tying the two together but it's not is all about observing nature and documenting it in various methods and so not me. It has caused me way to much stress to not be required :)

With the bunch of RL stuff coming up and the other courses that are required, I am going to take a pass on this one.
