Must be August...

...cause my mind has skipped ahead to autumn. Colors, scents, clothes. Probably helps that the house has been a little chilly all day.

Hey knitters, anyone know of a lovely, yet fast working, pattern for a triangular short shawl (points stop no more than waist length). My office gets cold, but putting on a sweater is often more trouble than it's worth.

The first part of the Wool Peddler's Shawl is simple garter stitch with y/o after the first stitch, either side of the center stitch and before the last stitch. Row 2 is all knit. Repeat rows 1 and 2 until success is acheived. Looks really nice in a heathered yarn and the garter stitch is nice and sproingy.

I even have the perfect fleece for the yarn. Silver Border Leicster-Romney. Mmmmmm!

Incredible wool yarn is wasted on me--I'm not a good enough knitter and have an on-again/off-again hivey issue with wool. But I do imagine it's gorgeous--Romney has such a lovely staple.

That would probably be a great texture to actually "stay on" the shoulders. Though unless the yarn is awesome too much garter stitch and I'm usually ready to strangle someone. I think I'll download the pattern and try it doll size first, and see how it looks. Thanks!
