Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

Since the start of the year one of my classmates (K-12), one of the vanishing breed of upstate NY private farm owners, died of a massive stroke. Friday a friend from 6 years of band and clubs died in a skiing accident.

Two more widows, more children bereft of their fathers. Later will be time for philosophizing, for measured reflection. For right now, I am just sad.
